Grundfos India introduces high-efficiency mobile pumping stations

A dual solution for dewatering flooded areas & providing water supply on the move

Grundfos India, the leading manufacturer of energy efficient pumps, has launched an ideal solution to address the distress caused by monsoons and imminent water-logging with its intelligent mobile water pumping station. The unit comprises of two pumps, each capable of discharging 200,000 liters per hour. 

The mobile pumping station from Grundfos aims at reducing losses post disasters and can also be used for water supply in agriculture, horticulture, gardens and parks. With its double shaft seal system, which ensures trouble-free operations, the dewatering pumps along with a 50 kVA generator, control panel and a cantilever crane in a weatherproof enclosure, are mounted on a movable trolley that can be hauled by a truck or tractor. With a portable and compact design, these mobile pumping stations are light-weight and operate on just one cable, thus saving the need for additional sensor cables. 

These high-capacity pumps are suitable to use across harsh environments for dewatering of flooded areas in construction sites, draining of storm water, shipyards, waterlogged facilities / basements, drainage pits, power stations, low-lying catchments areas, fishponds, etc. The pumps are also specifically designed for pumping dirty water with a high content of abrasives like sand.  

Speaking about the introduction of an innovative solution, Mr. Ranganath N.K., Managing Director of Grundfos India, said: “According to a United Nations Global Assessment Report in 2015, in the recent years, India has an average economic loss of around $9.8 billion due to various disasters. Out of which, more than $7 billion loss is because of floods. A lot of this damage can be mitigated by removing the unwanted water efficiently using pumps. However, many a times, pumps are not installed in the areas that may be effected by flooding. Therefore, the mobile pumping station is an ideal solution for addressing this issue”.

Pirelli presents new generation of Cinturato P7 Blue: An ambassador for sustainability

The Cinturato P7 Blue, Pirelli’s ambassador for sustainability, has been renewed and now extends its ‘AA’ European tyre label rating to all new sizes, setting a new standard.

When originally launched in 2012, the Cinturato P7 Blue was the first tyre in the world to claim a maximum score on the European tyre label for energy efficiency and safety (in certain sizes).

The latest Cinturato P7 Blue extends this standard to the new sizes added to the range, meaning that it now boasts a maximum European tyre label score on nearly all the sizes in the entire range.

This important result has been achieved thanks to the technical evolution that has positioned the Cinturato P7 Blue as a pioneer. The new P7 Blue takes all the advantages of its predecessor but further improves certain aspects of performance in line with the latest trends in the automotive industry, where sustainability is an increasingly important priority.

The new generation Cinturato P7 Blue reduces rolling resistance with a subsequent benefit in terms of fuel saving and CO2 emissions reduction, helping the environment.

At the heart of this improvement is the Low Rolling Technology Package: a dedicated package that combines new construction processes, especially in the belt area, with the use of the latest internal materials.

This package, developed at Pirelli’s cutting-edge technology centre in Settimo Torinese, is mainly based on a new system that controls the different phases of vulcanisation. The system allows the ideal thermal input to be specifically regulated for all the different materials. The ‘zero-degree’ construction and belt have also been optimised to distribute pressure more evenly, which guarantees top performance, as well as safety under braking, in all conditions.

One of the most notable results achieved by Pirelli’s engineers was a reduction in rolling resistance thanks to the use of some patented new-generation internal materials. This was achieved without compromising dry and wet grip levels, to guarantee high levels of driving safety.

The new technology has also led to an increase in tyre life in the order of 10%.

The previous P7 Blue became a benchmark for owners of saloon cars and coupés with medium to large engine capacities, claiming 11 podium places from 14 international tyre tests in the automotive press – including three test wins only last year.

IndianOil’s INDMAX technology bags Excellence Award at World Petroleum Congress

At the recently concluded 22nd edition of the World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, IndianOil bagged the WPC Excellence Award for its innovative and ground-breaking INDMAX technology. The Award was presented to Mr. Sanjiv Singh, Chairman, IndianOil, and Dr. SSV Ramakumar, Director (R&D), by Mr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, former Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Energy and Industry, Qatar.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjiv Singh said: “We are very happy to receive this prestigious Award that endorses IndianOil’s efforts in developing world-class refining technologies in-house, at its R&D Centre. With a superior LPG yield, the INDMAX technology will help us expand the availability of this environment-friendly fuel in the domestic market, thereby contributing to the national agenda of promoting LPG as a clean and convenient cooking fuel.”

Dr. SSV Ramakumar added: “It is a great endorsement of our INDMAX technology, for enhancing the yield of LPG and light distillates, coming from a premium global body and it will provide the much-needed fillip to commercialise our in-house developed refinery processes globally.”

Developed by IndianOil’s R&D Centre, the INDMAX technology is highly suitable for heavy crude oil feeds contaminated with metals. IndianOil had set up an INDMAX pilot plant of 0.1 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity at its Guwahati Refinery in 2003. Thereafter, a full-size (4.17 MMTPA) unit was incorporated at its state-of-the-art Paradip Refinery commissioned in March 2016.

The INDMAX technology (a type of fluidised catalytic cracking, or FCC, technology) is designed to produce 44% LPG, the highest yield from such units. The commissioning of the commercial-scale INDMAX unit at Paradip marked a major milestone for Indian refining and catapulted IndianOil into the league of world-class technology licensors.

Riding on the success at Paradip, the IndianOil Board has approved the setting up of an INDMAX unit (including LPG treatment) of 0.740 MMTPA capacity at its Bongaigaon Refinery. It is scheduled to be commissioned in 2019.

In addition to the WPC Excellence Award for INDMAX technology, IndianOil also won the top honours for the unsurpassed scale of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) it had spearheaded for distribution of deposit-free LPG connections to below-poverty-line families.

LANXESS India wins TRILA Award for second consecutive year

Specialty chemicals company, LANXESS India has once again won the Company of the Year Award under the Rubber Chemicals category in the recently held Tyre & Rubber Industry Leadership Acknowledgement (TRILA) Awards in Chennai on July 12, 2017. LANXESS India had won this recognition in the year 2016, as well.

Dr. Arup Kumar Chandra, Head Special Projects – Apollo Tyres Ltd., presented the Award to Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, LANXESS India, and Senior Vice President BU – Advanced Industrial Intermediates. Presented by Tyre Times, the TRILA Awards endeavour to felicitate the talent in the tyre industry for their achievements and excellence on various fronts.

The Awards were lent credence by industry stalwarts who comprised the jury. It included representatives from Tyre Industry Research, UK, Elastomer Technical Development Society, Apollo Tyres Ltd., JK Tyres & Industries Ltd., CEAT Ltd., Nippon Carbide and Vizeum (a unit of Dentsu Aegis).

 Business unit Advanced Industrial Intermediates, deservedly, won the Award as it showed a significant rise in its production capacity, sales and market share over the year. In the past year, the BU AII also doubled production permits for Antioxidants at Jhagadia site from 7,500 MT/annum to 15,000 MT/annum. The team not only sold out the Jhagadia production but also supplemented sales from our sites in  Bushy Park (US), Kallo (Belgium) & Brunsbüttel (Germany).

Over the past two years the BU AII was able to penetrate into all major tyre accounts in India and develop a lot of new business which was the principal growth driver for this business in India.
“It is great to have been recognized for the second time consecutively, with this Award. I would like to thank the entire team that relentlessly worked towards taking the business to the levels where we are today”, said Mr. Banerjee while thanking all the customers and stakeholders for their support over the past years that has seen the business line AXX achieve higher production & sales in almost all the products.

President of India presents the 2.5 croreth PMUY connection at Raghunathgunj, Murshidabad, WB

The 2.5 croreth LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was given out to Mrs. Gouri Sarkar of Raghunathgunj by the President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee in the presence of Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, and Mr. Abhijit Mukherjee, Member of Parliament, in a function held at Jangipur, West Bengal. This marked the completion of release of 2.5 crore LPG connections to women beneficiaries from below poverty line (BPL) households across the country under the PMUY.

While distributing PMUY connections to 11 beneficiaries, the President expressed his happiness to note that the PMUY has crossed the 2.5 cr connections within a span of 14 months.

PMUY was launched by the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on May 1, 2016, at Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, which is changing lives of the women in the country especially of those belonging to the under-privileged section of the society.

On the occasion, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan thanked the President for taking his time out to present the 2.5th crore LPG connection under PMUY scheme. He said that after the launch of PMUY scheme by Prime Minister of India on May 1, 2016 at Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, more than 2.49 crore connections have been released till date. Out of which largest no of connections (55 lakh) have been released in UP. He pointed out that 2nd largest number of LPG connections have been released in West Bengal. He added that to expand the reach of LPG in West Bengal, more than 600 distributorships will be commissioned in the State out of which more than 50 distributorships will be commissioned in Murshidabad district.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, is a scheme to provide clean cooking fuel to the women belonging to the ‘Below Poverty Line’ (BPL) households across the country. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana aims to provide LPG connections to 5 crore BPL households by 2019 and is a part of larger program of adding 10 crore new LPG connections by 2019 to achieve full coverage of connections in Indian households. This is the first time in the history of the country that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is implementing a welfare scheme benefitting crores of women belonging to the BPL households. The identification of BPL families has been made on Social Economic Caste Census (SECC) - 2011 data. Providing LPG connections to BPL households has been a landmark program that is ensuring universal coverage of cooking gas in the country. The scheme of providing clean cooking fuel has also reduced drudgery, the time spent on cooking and also provides employment for rural youth in the supply chain of cooking gas. PMUY scheme provides assistance of Rs. 1,600/- to the woman beneficiary, comprising security deposit of 14.2 kg cylinder and domestic pressure regulator; suraksha hose; domestic gas consumer card and installation charges.

In 2016-17, Oil Marketing Companies have given 3.25 cr new connections across the country. This is the highest-ever LPG connections released in any given year. In the current fiscal PMUY connections have been presented so far to women beneficiaries from across the country, taking the total number of active LPG consumers to 20.7 crores.

LPG demand in the country has registered a growth rate of more than 33% during last three years. More than 5,000 new distributors have been added in the last 3 years which have come up primarily in rural areas to cater to the enhanced LPG demand generated by PMUY.

Charge your Mobile on the Go with “Power Aid”

“Power Aid”, a unique product to charge any Mobile Phone on the go was launched recently. This patented product was invented by Mr. Amam Arun, a fresh Mechanical Engineering Graduate from Chennai who responded to the great need of all his friends and batchmates, who frequently would say that their mobile battery had drained out.

His inspiration came from his classmate, a girl who said her parents were extremely worried when she came late from college one day and were not able to reach her as her phone battery had drained out. This set Amam’s mind on the road to solve this simple but important issue and he successfully produced his 1st prototype back in December ’16. Now, 8 months later, he has worked out all the issues and today, he formally launched the product in the name and style of “Power Aid”. The startup is registered with NASSCOM and a patent has been filed for the technology.

CeMAT – New synergies between intralogistics and production

Next year’s CeMAT – the world’s leading intralogistics fair – will have a completely new look, being co-located for the first time with HANNOVER MESSE. Customer requirements are becoming more individual, demanding solutions from a single source – trends that will also be shaping CeMAT 2018.” 

STILL is expecting additional trade visitor attendance to be generated by the other display sectors at the co-located HANNOVER MESSE 2018. The company will once again occupy a pavilion and feature as one of the leading industrial truck manufacturers at CeMAT, reports Fischer.

For Hamburg-based intralogistics provider Jungheinrich, the topics of automation, digitization and energy efficiency will serve as the focus of the 2018 exhibition year. “The new unity of CeMAT and HANNOVER MESSE means the fusion of two flagship fairs,” says Corporate Spokesperson Benedikt Nufer. “This represents a major opportunity for us to showcase the latest Jungheinrich innovations before an even bigger audience.”

Stuttgart-based Viastore is also hoping for additional momentum from the new trade fair concept. “The companies who are visiting and exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE are extremely interesting for us,” according to corporate spokesperson Dr. Matthias Schweizer: “It basically comes down to how well we can manage to persuade their logistics and IT managers to attend CeMAT.” Here not only Deutsche Messe, but also the exhibiting enterprises will need to develop highly functional ideas and concepts, he says. “We will moreover need to convince logisticians from retailing companies, food, textile, chemical and pharmaceuticals to visit CeMAT. We see major opportunities for integrating production and intralogistics.” Viastore is planning to showcase software and systems solutions which are capable of efficiently integrating and managing complex materials handling processes.

The Austrian-based Knapp company is currently still in the planning phase. “What I can tell you is, there was already a high level of interest in Industry 4.0 topics at the most recent CeMAT,” says Marketing Director Margit Wögerer. “We are expecting the co-location with HANNOVER MESSE to generate new synergies which will allow us to concentrate on solutions that support the requirements of Industry 4.0.”

“Virtually every sector of industry uses our intralogistics solutions,” reports Klaus Tersteegen, Managing Director of SSI Schäfer from Neunkirchen, Germany. “But industry remains a key focus,” he adds. According to Tersteegen, CeMAT 2016 impressively underscored that the intralogistics sector is ever more strongly driven by IT and is becoming increasingly integrated with industry. “Based on the concepts surrounding Industry 4.0, this trend is sure to further progress and produce an even closer interconnectedness between logistics and production. For this reason, we welcome the decision of Deutsche Messe to stage CeMAT 2018 concurrently with HANNOVER MESSE.” 

He says that SSI Schäfer intends to help actively shape this process: “This is because intelligently connected products and processes, secure technologies and highly-developed software modules are the key elements of our smart intralogistics solutions, which is how we will be showcasing ourselves at CeMAT 2018.” 

Following its successful debut appearance at CeMAT 2016, the Munich-based Magazino technology startup will be back for next year’s event. “By exhibiting at CeMAT 2018, we want to lay the foundation for the successful internationalization of our enterprise,” reports Frederik Brantner, Magazino CEO and Founder. “The proximity to HANNOVER MESSE means that, in addition to traditional logistics clients, we’ll attract potential business customers from the manufacturing industry. Our perception-controlled TORU and SOTO robots provide for flexible automation solutions for an entire range of manual intralogistics processes. This way we are helping drive the digitization of order picking processes, using our robots to bring artificial intelligence to the warehouses of online retailers. Logistics 4.0 provides us with a gigantic opportunity to turn Magazino into a global market leader for intelligent order picking robots.”

Integrated logistics and retailing

“CeMAT 2018 brings the entire intralogistics industry together with Supply Chain Management within the scope of a single event – from the manufacturer to the end customer, everyone here is under the same roof,” comments Mirco Briosi, General Manager of the Italy-based Metalsistem company. “Thanks to the cooperation with Deutsche Messe, the exhibition will be expanded next year to include the retailing and store construction display sector.” For the first time in the history of the company, trade fair visitors will be able to view more than 20 Metalsistem product series on a stand measuring 1,000 square meters, as well as a hospitality area on the warehouse stage. “For the first time, the integration of logistics and retailing in Hannover will provide a complete panorama of the synergies generated by the harmonious interaction of products and solutions,” explains Briosi. “In the store construction sector, the SIDAC product program will be displayed together with Geoclass checkout barriers, Euroscacco shopfitting racks and a number of specific solutions like checkout counters, glass showcases and numerous ideas for product presentation.”

The concurrent staging of CeMAT and HANNOVER MESSE next year will draw more than 220,000 decision-makers to Hannover, anxious to see the potential of integrated logistics and Industry 4.0 concepts for their enterprises, helping drive new solutions and business models.

Tata Communications and Formula 1 explore how Internet of Things could revolutionise the Grand Prix experience for fans

One of the winners of the second challenge of US$50,000 F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize will get to spend a week with the technical team of Formula 1 at a Grand Prix

Tata Communications, the Official Connectivity Provider to Formula 1, is unveiled the second challenge of the 2017 F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize. The Internet of Things (IoT) themed challenge has been set by Formula 1, asking the F1 and technology communities to come up with ideas for solutions that could enhance the trackside experience for fans at each Grand Prix through IoT and mobile technologies, and embedded connectivity.

“We want to see how through IoT solutions we could enhance the F1 racing experience for the millions of fans who attend the Grands Prix all over the world – from before they even arrive at the track till the end of the race week-end,” said John Morrison, Chief Technical Officer of Formula 1. “Through a mobile app connected to sensors at the track, fans could tune into customised live video feeds based on their favourite team or driver, take part in live polls and synchronised cheering, and interact more seamlessly with other fans on social media. Fans’ emotions could also be tracked to create aggregate emotion charts on large displays at the circuit, creating a more interactive, immersive and thrilling race experience.”

“F1 is the most technically advanced sport in the world, yet we’ve barely scratched the surface of what can be achieved with digital technologies,” said Ross Brawn, Managing Director of Motorsports, Formula 1. “By harnessing fans and tech enthusiasts’ brainpower and passion, we look to accelerate the digital transformation of F1, as the way people want to watch and engage with their favourite sports continues to be shaped by technology.”

The Grand Prize of the F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize is a cheque for US$50,000. The judges pick three winners from each of the two challenges set by Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport and Formula 1. The six winners from both challenges will be awarded trips to the 2017 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, where the jury will announce the Grand Prize winner.

In addition, one person from one of the three winning teams of this challenge will be given a special prize: they will get a chance to work alongside the technical team of Formula 1 at a Grand Prix of the winner’s choice for a unique behind-the-scenes experience.

“Fans at home are able to enjoy an immensely rich Grand Prix experience by using technologies such as Ultra High Definition (UHD) video, complementing the live action on TV with stats and videos on, and engaging with other fans in real-time on social media,” said Julie Woods-Moss, Tata Communications’ President and Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer. “As Formula 1 explores opportunities to transform the sport through digital technologies, we look forward to seeing how the trackside experience could be made more captivating for F1 fans through cutting-edge IoT-enabled mobile apps and real-time data analytics.”

In addition to John Morrison, the judging panel includes: Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Driver and three-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion; James Allison, Technical Director of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport;  Martin Brundle, former F1 race driver and F1 commentator for Sky Sports F1; and Mehul Kapadia, Managing Director of F1 Business at Tata Communications. And - for the first time since the launch of the competition in 2014 - the F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize will have a guest judge. In 2017, the guest judge will be Ross Brawn, Managing Director of Motorsports, Formula 1, who will help pick the ultimate Grand Prize winner.

Honeywell UOP introduces new connected plant service to improve dehydration of natural gas

Remote monitoring service improves water removal and lowers energy consumption

Honeywell UOP introduced its new connected plant ARMGuard system, a remote monitoring service that helps natural gas processors manage the adsorbents that are used to remove water from natural gas.

Honeywell UOP’s ARMGuard system uses existing instrumentation to help customers optimize their adsorption cycles, reduce energy consumption, operate under variable feed conditions, and reduce costs due to unscheduled shutdowns.

Natural gas at the wellhead naturally contains water and water vapor that, if left in the natural gas stream, will freeze as the gas is being cooled into a liquid, clogging the lines with ice. This water can be removed with adsorbents, which trap the water molecules before the gas is cooled.

Most adsorbent systems are not actively monitored and analyzed for optimal performance, causing these systems to run well below their capability, wasting energy and underutilizing the adsorbent.

“The ARMGuard system monitors the performance of our adsorbents to advise how the dehydration process can be kept running efficiently and reliably,” said Ken Stacherski, Vice President and General Manager of Catalysts, Adsorbents and Specialties at Honeywell UOP. “The more effectively you can manage your adsorption system, the more effectively you can keep the unit on-stream and operating profitability.”

Honeywell UOP’s ARMGuard system, which entered service in May with Enterprise Products in Opal, Wyo., continuously collects operating data from the adsorbent unit and analyzes it using UOP adsorbent models to determine the effectiveness of the process. The system can detect issues that, with the assistance of UOP’s technical team, can be used to improve unit performance and prolong adsorbent life.

“Nothing like this has ever existed before because it’s a software-based service dedicated specifically to dehydration, and it compares plant operation to proprietary UOP process models,” Stacherski said. “As a result, these models reference the true capability of the adsorbent, not just the past operation of a plant.”

In addition, the ARMGuard system can detect process upsets and recommend ideal adsorbent regeneration cycles to increase adsorbent performance and reduce operational costs. It also can forecast optimal adsorbent changeout times to better plan maintenance downtime.

The ARMGuard system can be connected to a customer’s corporate data historian, which aggregates the operation of several gas plants at once. Once established, the system can help to reduce energy consumption by as much as 20 per cent and increase the useful life of an adsorbent, also by 20 per cent.

CII’s larger agenda for ‘Thriving in Balance’: Ms. Shobana Kamineni, President

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is the country’s largest body for the Indian industries. Since inception, CII has been collaborating with the Government to nurture the nation’s growth and acting as a guiding force to safeguard the interest of various industry segments. Recently, it has elected its first woman President, namely, Ms. Shobana Kamineni, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.  

During her first media interaction in Chennai after taking over the reins of the coveted post of the CII President, she has expressed her full confidence about the brighter days ahead for the Indian economy.  

According to her, given the low inflation rates and subdued investment conditions, a cut in the interest rates is essential to boost demand and new investments.

She has pointed out that the reform agenda has clearly picked up, and over the last three years, substantive policies have been announced, the most prominent among them being the GST legislation, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, RERA, FDI liberalization and Ease of doing business. Conditions are positive for further strengthening of the economy in the current year.

Ms. Kamineni said that agricultural growth has generally peaked at four per cent. However, the sector has registered double-digit growth in States like Madhya Pradesh, indicating the possibilities of a consistently further growth. She also highlighted the industrial participation and linkage in agriculture and gave perspectives on non-farming rural jobs. The overall encouraging scenario gave clear indications that the four per cent growth is maintainable in the current year also.  

The very fact that India has more than 200 R&D centres out of the 500 Fortune companies is indicative of the positive trend and opportunities available in the country. At the same time, while China’s construction sector accounts for 60 per cent of the job market, India’s share remains low at 30 per cent. Hence the urgent need for industrial groups and the Government to raise the construction sector contribution to a higher level. CII is ready to work jointly with member-companies and the Government to add 10 lakh more jobs in the organized and non-organized sectors. 

She also stressed the need for evolving a new industrial policy in an age of e-commerce, new technologies, newer initiatives like GST, etc., replacing the one crafted during 1991. CII has been working with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion by submitting its inputs for a new rationalized industrial policy. 

Stating that job creation remains a top priority for the nation, the President said: “CII suggests that better quality of jobs be targeted in the organised sector in line with the emerging new technologies.” Technology advancement could create different types of jobs to suit the livelihood in the entrepreneurship sector. Services sectors such as tourism, healthcare and retail have huge employment potential with higher incomes. For example, every million rupees invested in tourism creates 78 jobs compared to 45 in agriculture and 28 in manufacturing. It is in this changing environment that CII has framed the theme – India Together – Inclusive. Ahead. Responsible for the current year.   

Ms. Kamineni further reiterated that CII’s objective is ‘Thriving in Balance’, which would ensure that all industry sectors and all sections of society as well as regions progress in tandem, and CII would extend its co-operation towards achieving this goal. 

Answering the question from the INDIAN BUSINESS REVIEW Editor, Ms. Kamineni said that CII has a special focus on MSMEs since 80 per cent are from this segment. 

India: Ultra competitive market

Mr. Vikram Kirloskar, Chairman, CII - Southern Region, and Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., stated that the Indian automotive sector has become an ultra competitive market for the world. During the last 10 years, there has not been much increase in the prices of automobiles in the country inspite of the hike in salary, etc. It shows the customers in the country get maximum benefit. Also, India has exported 8 lakh vehicles last year, which is the highest in the world. 

He also expressed confidence that investments in various industry sectors, including automotive, would pick up further.
